Company Overview

Direct and oversee Arleigh LKQ Group’s marine trade and retail sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. Set short-and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Manage the external sales, technical sales, branches, and support teams and ensure that they meet and exceed their annual targets, whilst delivering excellent customer service at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Determine annual sales targets in conjunction with the Group Sales Director, by implementing marketing strategies, analysing trends, and results
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for territories, projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products
  • Implement sales programs by developing field sales action plans in conjunction with the External Sales Manager
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal targets, aligning with Groups sales policies and strategies
  • Manage the technical sales and support team to ensure that they deliver excellent support and service from start to finish
  • Work alongside the External Sales Manager to manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales team to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales and KPI targets are met
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward, and individual recognition
  • Where necessary, provide on-the-ground support for sales team as they generate leads and close new opportunities
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key product opportunities
  • In conjunction with the External Sales Manager provide weekly reports of sales team success and communicate VOC data to the Group Sales Director
  • Ensure that retail/branch outlets are maximising all sales potential
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts
  • Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop, and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment within the Group
  • Maintain data relative to accounts and activities and document customer interactions
  • Manage commercial support relationships, with key suppliers
  • Play a key role in identifying new product opportunities and present this back into the Group
