Arleigh International Ltd is the leading supplier of parts and accessories into the static caravan, motorhome and marine leisure markets. We are currently looking to recruit an Inventory Controller to join the Inventory team.

The ‘Inventory controller’ role is responsible for forecasting, order planning, order placement & follow through all related procedures to ensure that the stocks arrive in time at the warehouses. Achieve the set stock availability targets working within the allocated stock budgets and controlling excess stock build up / stock obsolescence. Optimize stock levels, improve processes and procedures to make the supply chain efficient and cost effective.

Essential Job Duties
  • Inventory Ordering and forecasting
  • Expediting deliveries - chasing overdues, non- confirmed and back orders
  • Escalate ongoing issues to line management as necessary
  • Collating reports for the wider team, producing and working to KPI’s, keeping the system up to date, working with suppliers on a daily basis, and liaising with members of various internal departments, including sales and goods inwards
  • Liaise with Product / Sales managers to plan stock for new & existing product ranges
  • Liaise with Warehouse & Logistics team for delivery planning & shipping documents
  • Ensure that timely action is taken for procurement / replenishment following all the associated processes & procedures
  • Ensure proper rotation of stock, keeping excesses / obsolescence to a minimum at Hub sites / branches
  • Use of historical data, Supplier Pareto’s or other intelligence to improve warehouse / branch stock levels, and to reduce obsolescence
  • Support with any data analysis that is required for the department
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of systems & processes and putting controls in place for effective stock planning & management.
  • The role may include the need for occasional travel to group companies and external suppliers
Essential Experience for this position
  • Experience working with supply chain software packages
  • Previous experience in a supply chain / inventory management role
  • Experience in demand forecasting & order planning operations
  • Good level of excel skills
Essential/Desired Skills for this position
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft windows & office applications
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Able to make decisions based on analytical results and conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills (with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external customers)

Education & Experience
  • Experience in demand forecasting & order planning operations
  • Have an understanding of marine/leisure, seasonality of sales of such products, product life cycle etc
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be organized and efficient
  • Must have an eye for detail
